Brickell: The Self We Sell explores the quiet tension between authenticity and performance in a world driven by visibility. Inspired by the luminous skyline of Miami’s Brickell district, this piece captures the layered identities we construct—polished, intentional, and often detached from our truest selves.
Through a cubist-inspired composition, the figure is fragmented and reassembled, reflecting the psychological act of self-curation. Vivid greens, electric blues, and illuminated accents echo the artificial glow of city lights—symbols of ambition, status, and the desire to stand out. Yet beneath the brilliance lies a deeper question: what parts of ourselves are real, and what have we shaped for approval?
